I always meant to write Naomi’s birth story.
I made a blog for her. Did great . . . until the computer crashed . . . not once but three times.
And the crazy thing is that instead of writing her birth story on my personal blog or her blog . . . when I finally got around to writing it – I wrote it on someone else’s blog.
Head on over to The Humbled Homemaker for Naomi’s birth story.
Thanks so much for writing this down! I’m also in Indy, pregnant, in the middle of looking for a care provider, and Lynda’s at the top of the list right now (though I haven’t gotten around to calling her yet…)
Great to meet you Joanna!!! I adore Lynda! She has been our midwife for two homebirths and I wish I could just keep having babies to see her! Is this your first? Any questions?
This is my second- my first, I had at the now-closed freestanding birth center downtown and had a really wonderful experience. This time, I’ve given the midwives a Methodist a try (had 1 appointment….) and really don’t think they’re a good fit for me. Mostly, I’m terrified of hospitals. My friend recently used Lynda and liked her (and ALSO had an unattended birth because Baby came fast!)
Oh my goodness, that was awesome. When I was in labor with Flannery (my only vaginal birth experience thus far), I told Nathan we were never sleeping together again, I was in so much pain!
I love that you chose home birth. I would love to try it but I think I’m too high risk, now with 2 csections. My mom is a midwife in TN and does home births, so it is close to my heart! Thanks for sharing!!
You made me laugh! I hope I don’t think your words the first time I meet Nathan!!
Jodi, thank you SO much for sharing your story with my readers! I LOVED every word of it!! I really think it tops all of the birth stories I’ve ever read. I’m 12 days late with #3 tomorrow…hmmmm…maybe I need to take some melatonin and go to bed. 😉
I loved you spurring me on to write it! How did the melatonin work? LOL
