Wordless Wednesday: Vacation
On Monday, I told you about what our vacation to Lake Michigan evoked in my soul . . . now I will just let pictures tell our story.
And what is God doing now? Do I have a new and clear vision a few days later? Nope. Life has settled back in.
But I have some consolation. John Adams struggled with the same idea . . . finding the balance between indulging in the world and sacrificing for the higher calling.
I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study paintings, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.
