Pretzels for School
Tot School activity – pretzels.
Yup. That was part of our school today. Perfect activity to develop fine motor skills.
We had fun. And they were yummy.
Head on over to Confessions of a Homeschooler for the recipe!
By the way, pretzels make for a great object lesson if you are teaching your children about prayer. The story behind the pretzel, or so I have heard, is that monks gave them to children who had learned their prayers. The special shape serves to remind children of what their arms look like when folded and praying (I think you have to use your imagination a little bit). Additionally, the word “pretzel” means reward.
Hmm . . . learn something new everyday.
Oh, here is an activity book that I found that you can download.
