10 Favorite Websites to Use for Homeschooling
Every Tuesday, for the next ten weeks, some of my bloggy friends (myself included), will be participating in a special Ten in Ten blog hop. Be sure to subscribe to our feeds so you don’t miss a single post.
Drum roll . . . these are probably my 10 most resourced websites for our homeschool classroom. Now, this list IS NOT INCLUSIVE. There are a lot of other websites that I utilize. For example . . . YouTube. I created my list from memory . . . that tells you that I visit these sites on a regular basis for ideas.
- Homeschool Share
- Homeschool Creations
- 1+1+1=1 (specifically Calendar Connections, RRSP, and Tot Tray ideas)
- Delightful Learning
- Mama Jenn and her Education Cubes
- Meet Penny (I love her multiplication flash cards!)
- Classical Conversations (a good reason to invest in an iPad – there is an app for the kids’ memory work!)
- The Craftsy Classroom (including Lapbook Lessons, File Folder Fun, Preschool Post) . . . . Valerie’s post make me laugh nearly every time . . .
- Freely Educate and
- Spell Out Loud
- Bonus: Notebooking Pages . . . remember I just discovered this website!!! I think it will be a great fit for our venture into Classical Conversations. Don’t forget that the Facebook party launching The Notebook Publisher begins tonight at 8pm. Prizes include: a gift certificate to Amazon, a ProClick Binding Kit System, and items from Trivium Pursuit, Harmony Fine Arts, the Notebooking Fairy and many more!
See what sites my buddies use . . . and head on over to iHomeschoolNetwork and live a little, link up with Angie at Many Little Blessing. (I have met Angie IRL . . . in fact I spent a lot of time with her at the airport . . . she is super sweet!)
What is your favorite homeschooling website? (You don’t have to mention me!)
great list. i think homeschool share is one of my regular go-tos, especially since we make lapbooks. i also use ambleside online (amblesideonline.org), simply charlotte mason (simplycharlottemason.com) and jimmie’s collage (jimmiescollage.com) as my other stand-by sites since we will be using the CM method. are you guys planning to do CC? i have a very good friend who just started CC last year and she loves it. i also just discovered notebooking pages a few months back. isn’t it great? i like that you can keep all the information you learned on one particular topic in one place.
Thanks girl! I love Homeschool Share! Amy that runs it is so super sweet. I got to meet her a few weeks ago at the homeschool convention. I am familiar with the sites you listed. Jimmie is great too. I just got her Notebook Fairy book and am excited to read it. Have you written any notebooking posts? I’d love to read it!
no, no notebooking posts yet. we did a really simple one for st. patrick’s day for emma, but it seemed more like a bunch of activities/worksheets put together in a folder…not quite the whole notebooking concept, if i’m not mistaken. i think i may do a little bit more notebooking this next school year. it’s still very new to me too so i’d like to do more research and get more ideas on it.
Oh My! Jodi, I am so honored to be on your list! You might be happy to know that I am struggling to pull together some division printables. They are making me crazy… well, I was already almost-crazy but they are giving me the final push. LOL
Your printables are GREAT!!!! Please . . . do the division ones. Those are on the horizon!
