My Audacious 2018 Reading List

Last year, I read 53 books according to Goodreads. That’s 53 books that I let the world know about.  I actually read more, but those unmentioned ones were largely vacation reads with little to no redeeming value.  I didn’t intentionally plan my reading list as I have done for 2018.

As we set our goals on New Year’s Day, I really wanted to create an epic goal.  A goal that made me look really smart and bookish. Wise, perhaps.  But then, Jon Acuff’s sage advice rang in my ears — cut your goals in half in order to complete them and create new successful ones.  So this year, my audacious goal is 55 books.  (If you do the math then you know that my initial goal was 110 books.  However, I am already behind compared to last year. So halfsies it is.)

Be sure to check back to this post.  I will be updating my reading list throughout the year.

  1. I have a goal to read 50 books. I don’t have a list of what I’m going to read. I do however have an on-going list of books that I’m interested in and when I need to add a few to my TBR pile— I’ll pull from that list.

  2. I have to say that I have a love for reading and I will have to look through my Kindle Fire to tell you all the books I have lined up to read but my physical ones are….the Quest by Beth Moore, Seven Desires by Mark & Debbie Laaser, Braving the Wilderness, The Power of Encouragement by David Jeremiah Oola for Women/LLO group book read, Essentially Driven, Getting Noticed, The ABC’s of Building a Young Living Business, Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, Esential Sharing, Seed to Seal, Handlettering for Relaxation.
Im sure my list will grow, but I love to savor, journal and pray over what I read.
