10 in 10: Surprising Must-Have’s in our House
I keep it simple. Because it really is so simple. I couldn’t limit myself to 10 items, though.
Introducing the most used items in our school room kitchen. I could not be without these items, and my kiddos might implode without said items.
- A stapler, complete with staples . . . and more staples . . . and an extra box for when you run out of staples.
- Tape . . . enough to wrap around the house 10 times.
- a printer (Ours is a Canon, thanks to my friend, Michelle. The way I make the ink cheaper on this bad boy? Cartridge World or Costco will refill the cartridges for less than purchasing brand spanking new Canon ink cartridges.)
- white board (with Vis-a-Vis markers – these delightful colors write on most anything and wipe off quite easily.)
- crates . . . for when school travels to an alternative location. (I will have you know that this crate is from my school days. It is almost an antique.)
- June, my Kindle . . . we look up history facts, watch YouTube videos, listen to Audible, and it holds my teacher’s manuals (i.e. for Grapevine Studies). She props up excellently with the Marware cover, should you want to watch a movie or something with your husband. Not that we have ever used the Kindle for anything but school or Pandora. {Ahem}
- a Bible . . . one that you can actually see and hear the pages turn.
- paper trays (complete with newsprint and construction paper – though ours are a little sparse these days. These are from Ikea.)
- multiple pairs of scissors . . . and I am NOT kidding when I say multiple.
- glue sticks . . . hundreds . . . seriously.
- stickers (more for my benefit than my children)
- pencil sharpener (How could we forget National Sharpen Your Pencil Day?)
- date stamp with ink pad
- cozy place to snuggle
- Did I mention tape?
- Oh, and kids!
Today’s post is my attempt to hang out with some pretty cool ladies over at iHomeschoolNetwork. But we are all linking up with Angie from Many Little Blessings. Follow the trail!
What is a must have for your school room? Or what items do your kids HAVE to have?
Ha, tape made my list too! We could NOT be without it. Scissors are (is?) another thing I should’ve added! Love your list and the cute photos!
