But seriously.  This is once again too easy.

Raw Quick Vitamix Applesauce

Ingredients

  • Approximately 7 quartered apples, with seeds remaining (or however many can fit into your large Vitamix container
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (that’s what I use – and this spice is optional)
  • 1 tbls raw honey (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup water or water kefir

Directions

Dump EVEYRTHING in your Vitamix.  I did leave out the stems.

Make sure to put lid on container.

And . . . know that you might need to apply some force to the fruit that was NEVER mentioned in Genesis.

Once you have everything mostly blended, continue to allow the machine to pulverize applesauce for an additional 5 minutes.  Warning, the final treat will be hot BUT this creates a texture more like that of the grocery store.

If you like that sort of taste.

Not. That. We. Do. {ahem}

  1. I had completely forgotten about Vitamix applesauce. This reminder couldn’t have come at a better time, as my 1 yr old LOVES applesauce & I have been meaning to make a batch for her (we’ve just been doing store-bought), but I have hesitated due to the cooking part. I will def. be making a batch in the Vitamix this weekend!

  2. How long will the applesauce keep for do you think, and the best way to store it?

    Thank you!

    1. Angela, I’m not really sure. I’m so sorry. We typically gobble it up so quick!!!! I store it in a mason jar in the fridge!

  3. Thank you for posting this! I tried it with some organic apples, used agave nectar instead of the honey, it is fabulous! Loved it fresh out of the blender, warm and smooth and tasting of fall.
