Avacado Equals Chocolate Pudding
I like French Silk Pie. But it takes a lot of time to make.
Surprisingly, there is a quicker alternative. And it comes from a little super food that I was once told if you had nothing else to eat, you could eat this and live on an island until you were rescued.
The avocado.
However without garlic and salt or alternatively maple syrup and cocoa, I don’t much like avocados.
But I do like the velvety texture of Chocolate Avocado Pudding.
So do the kids, more importantly.
Chocolate Avocado Pudding
Ingredients
- 3 avocados — preferably chilled, if you want to eat the pudding immediately
- 4-5 tbls cocoa (I like this one and have it on autoship) affiliate link
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup (or more — the ripeness of the avocado affects the amount)
- Vitamix or immersion blender affiliate link
Directions
Open avocado. I recommend you take out the pit — if you don’t, you will surely ruin your blender and land in the dentist chair.
Slice avocado into pieces and corral them into the Vitamix or bowl, discarding any bruised or damaged flesh.
Add cocoa and maple syrup.
Now, hear me on this. I did give you measurements for the cocoa and maple syrup. The reality is that my measurements are approximates for you.
The amount changes depending on how much you want to hide the taste and smell of the avocado. If you avocado isn’t the perfectly ripe, you will need to add more or less of the maple syrup and cocoa.
Blend until the mixture is a smooth, pudding-like consistency.
We like to eat this chilled with a spoon or with apples.
Bon appetite!
Hmmmm, I guess I’m not completely against the idea…lol.Anyway, I have never had Avocados until recently, and I am in love!!! I eat Guac on almost everything so maybe I should give this a try!!
