Vacation Reading: Every Perfect Gift
It is rather appropriate that I post about Dorothy Love’s book, Every Perfect Gift. The cover of this novel depicts the scene outside our home. Snow. Lots and lots of snow.
In this story, Sophia returns home to Hickory Ridge, Tennessee, to resurrect the town’s newspaper, thinking that everyone would be in love with the idea. This is a hard move for herself because it reminds her of a childhood she wishes the town would forget about. While Sophia is establishing herself, she becomes interested in the new resort being built and Ethan (of course), the architect who designed it. Complications arise when both fear what the other will think of their past and overcoming each other’s initial reactions. But as with any good historical Christian fiction novel, the reader is not surprised when the past becomes exposed and characters Sophia and Ethan must face reality.
It is what it is – a great vacation read!! Purchase your copy on Amazon.
I was given this book to read and review for free from the BookSneeze blogger program. I was not paid for this post and all opinions expressed and plot summary is mine.
